Mary LH Ogle is a developmental educator and disability specialist who provides services under the following National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) registration Groups:
  • Assist-Travel/Transport
  • Household Tasks
  • Innovative Community Participation
  • Therapeutic Supports  

Mary works towards meeting the participants NDIS goals which are discussed during the first session on how best she can work towards meeting their goals

Assessment Tools can be utilised to establish a baseline to work from
  • Vineland - 3 Assessment (comprehensive) assessing: daily living skills, communication, socialisation and motor skills
  • Sensory Profile

Building a Therapy Plan
  • Based on Assessment outcomes 
  • Seek input for caregivers, service providers, observations and other assessments if available  
  • Include Interventions (if applicable)

Practice the Skills
  • Mentoring or modelling skills 
  • Observations of new skills learnt
  • Teaching functional life skills
  • Provide training to caregivers and/or service providers 

Progress Reports and recommendations  - Therapy based
  • 3-monthly review of NDIS goals 
  • Input from the participant, caregivers, service providers and observations 
  • Evaluation of NDIS goals or work on alternative goals 
  • Therapy report recommendations

Developmental Educators Australia Inc (DEAI)

The DEAI is the professional association for Developmental Educators.  The DEAI represents Developmental Educators Australia wide and welcomes membership from degree level trained Developmental Educators or disability professionals with comparable qualifications from across Australia.

Developmental Educators are multi-disciplinary disability specialists, having completed disability specific tertiary studies. Developmental Educators work utilising a holistic (all inclusive) and strength based (working with the persons strengths) approach that is person centered (all about the person) and how they will best meet their NDIS goals.
